The December 7, 1941 surprise attack at Pearl Harbor took the lives of 1,177 sailors aboard the USS Arizona, including three young men from Monterey’s Oak Grove neighborhood. Friends and neighbors who grew up in Oak Grove with these Monterey heroes — Michael Criscuola, Jack Hazdovac and Tom Trovato — will honor them in a special tribute dinner.
